The past 8 weeks has given me such an important message. I would say South Africa has totally open up my mind. People thought I’m different and I even had a doubt on myself but today, I can totally confirm that I’m different but I’m glad that I’m different. Today, I have 3 key lines to share from what I have experienced in the past few months of my adventure to many places. They all have their meaning because they gave me a really great impact from wondering to do what most people do, or to do what is right.
“When they sleep, you get up running.”
There’s a day I was really upset because I didn’t manage to achieve my goal in life, and on that rainy day, I spotted my shoes right in front me, and I put that on, started to run and the sky has open for me and I managed to reach to the mountain to see a bigger vision in life. I know it’s not easy when people sleep, you get up running. But think of the advantage with no interference and self focus, it’s actually better this way to get to know yourself and to get to give yourself a challenge. It doesn’t mean you have to physically do the running. This also means, it’s not against the rules, when people give up and you still have the “will” to keep on improving on no matter what you do.
“When they bitch, you go and have your good rest.”
Most people do on their spare time is to sit down, and bitch on others. For me, I always think one individual will change based on what they experienced but from what most people think, if this guy made a mistake before, he will not be good later on. This is normally wrong, because I always believe when one has many haters, he/she will grow even stronger. So when I was doing my job or having my holidays, I heard people talking so many shit on the others, criticizing other people without even knowing them, I was just giving a smile, then headed to home and sleep early. I don’t think it’s wise to spread the rumors and to waste the time for this when you can have extra hours to give yourself a good rest to keep going for a better tomorrow.
“When they rest, you go and help those who are in need.”
Christmas is important, New Year is important. We know. So most people would just go home and have a rest - I’m not against this. But when I was in South Africa, I usually woke up 4am in the morning to help during Christmas and New Year for those who are in need because some people, they don’t celebrate like we do and they need it. I think if there’s a chance to sacrifice your own rest day to help others could be the best thing you could learn and earn in your life experience.
Everyone can say what they want. You’re different, you’re an alien and sometimes it even made you to doubt about yourself. But I can tell you, it’s good to be different, (actually) it’s better to be different.
*Sorry for a quick blogging here, any grammatical mistake should be forgiven but I hope you catch the meaning of this.
